Once again, perspective fail Painted from the tealight sitting next to the laptop on the table... it's hard to keep looking at it from the same point of view... I kept getting confused.
A little tip I can offer: when you are painting it is always good to show unity in the painting. If you look closely at my Kiss from a Rose you could notice it very well: you can see green hues on the rose and pink hues on the leaf. It's subtle, but it really changes a lot. So when painting, it is a good idea to have some low opacity brush strokes in the colour of the surrounding objects on the main object and vice versa. That's how light works
I think I need to learn when to stop being realistic and start being artistic, if you see what I mean. In real life they were that colour, but I guess as a painting they'd work better different...
Interesting subject matter

I really appreciate your advice and comments
And I'm glad it makes sense to you
i like the subject you chose
it's a bit japanese
what i don't like is that the green and brows seem of the same saturation level
and there should be more highlight on them from the candle
i for one would go crazy with shiny highlights
I'm not good with the shiny highlights XD yet!
so just practice and it'll come naturally
you'll get addicted afterwords
