Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

Merry Christmas everyone, I hope all you who celebrated had a good day

I am absolutely shattered. Was going to try to get useful stuff done tomorrow, but hmm. Not sure it's going to happen

Did you get anything nice? I am over the moon with my My Neighbour Totoro plush picture-frame thing and wallet from my husband, and a scarf thing from my mum-in-law which is purple and sparkly and she got because I said I felt the cold! Small things please me

Even better, everyone seemed to like all the jewellery I made.

A merry Christmas to you as well - I'm glad to see you had a good time.

Christmas was really nice, my husband and I went to visit my parents and it was a wonderful evening with good food and nice presents.

Now I'm looking forward to the rest of my holidays to finish on my current render project - I've never tried such a big scene with Poser, so I'm curious how it will work out.
